1932 'There were twenty-six summonses for hearing at the Croydon Borough Police Court on Friday against Arthur Baker, trading as Bakers Selhurst Radio, of Sussex-road. Croydon. for failing to notify the Factory Acts Inspector within a month of the occupation of a factory and in twenty-five cases for employing a lad and women beyond the permitted hours.'[1]
