From Graces Guide

1909 Established a 2.5MW generating station to make use of waste heat from coke ovens at Crook, County Durham. The output electricity was transmitted by Durham Electrical Power Distribution Co to pits in the area and also to Newcastle upon Tyne.

1910 One half of the share capital in the company was held by Pease and Partners, Limited, and the other half of the share capital by the Waste Heat and Gas Electrical Generating Stations, Limited.

1933 The company went into voluntary liquidation.[1]
