1935 Bolton Cotton Waste Co formed to acquire all of the share capital of Joshua Barber and Co and W. A. Openshaw and Co.

1942 Bolton Cotton Waste (Holdings) formed to acquire all of the share capital of Bolton Cotton Waste Co.

1946 Bolton Cotton Waste (Holdings) acquired the Talbot Spinning and Weaving Co; Cannon Brothers; and the Coloured Cotton Spinning Co. The combined group was renamed the Barber Textile Corporation.[1]

1947 Acquired Samuel Renshaw and Sons.

1955 Acquired the Croal Spinning Co.

1964 Sold the Talbot Spinning and Weaving Co to Viyella.

1971 Acquired by the Spirella Co of Great Britain.[2]
