WEDNESDAY, the 8th Day of September, and the following Days, at Ten for Eleven o’clock in the Forenoon, on the Premises of Messrs. Barrett and Son, Engine and Boiler Makers, Humber Bank Foundry, Wellington-Street, Hull, in such Lots may agreed on at the Time of Sale,
The Unfinished HULL of a splendid IRON STEAM SHIP, length of Keel, 130 Feet, length over all on Deck, 135 Feet, breadth within Paddle Boxes, 21 Feet, depth of Hold, 9 Feet 6 Inches, and admeasuring, (with the Engine Room) about 230 Tons as she now lies at the Quay on the West Side the Humber Dock.
Also Two 40 HORSE MARINE ENGINES and BOILERS, constructed on the most improved principle, with Paddle Shafts and Wheels, and other Machinery, designed expressly for the above Vessel, and now lying on the Premises of the said Messrs. Barrett.
Also, all the extensive and valuable STOCK-IN-TRADE, Working Tools, Models and Machinery of the said Messrs. Barrett, consisting of many Tons of Round, Flat, and Square Bar Iron, Cast, Sheer, and Blister Steel, Sheet Iron, large quantity of Boiler Plates and Angle Iron.
One 10 HORSE CONDENSING STEAM ENGINE, with Boiler, Iron Chimney, Shafting and Driving Gear complete. One large Face Lathe with Slide Rest, Shaft, and appendages, One Slide Lathe, 16 Feet Bed, 16 Inch Centres, One new Drilling Machine with Cross-Slide and Revolving Table, One Drilling Machine, with Straps, One new Planing Machine, One other Slide Lathe with Bed 32 Feet long, Two Cross Slide Rests and Top Driving Gear, together with the Turning Tools and other Articles belonging the above ; Large Fixed Crane, One Crab with Handles, Pairs of Vice, Grindstone and Frame, 4 Horse Land Engine, nearly complete, Cast and Wrought iron Maundrills, upwards of of 150 dozen Files different sizes. Hammers, Chisels, Glass Water Guage Tubes, Brass Cocks, Taps, and an immense quantity of Models of the most improved construction and varied sorts. Brass Moulding Tools, Joiners' Tools, Work Benches, Drawing Boards and Trammels, Three Punching Presses with Shears, One Portable ditto, Plate Bending Machine, Fire Hearths, upwards of 20 Pairs Cylindrical and other Bellows, several Portable Fire Hearths, Wrought and Cast Iron Troughs, Wrought Iron Anvils, Iron Boxes, Pair Steelyards with appendages, Cast Iron Metals for Binding Plates, Boiler Screw Jacks, immense quantity of Smiths’ and other Tools.
The other Stock in the Warehouse consisting of a large variety of Nails, Metal and Brass Taps, and other Articles used in the Trade, a new Boiler suitable for a Brewhouse, One Boiler Truck Frame, sundry Lots of Old Iron, Ash, Oak, and Deal Planking. ....
