1888 The Barrow Chemical Wood Pulp Company Limited was registered, with a capital of £120,000, to manufacture and deal in chemical wood pulp, paper pulp, half stuff, and paper making materials[1]

1889 The company was subsumed by a new and larger enterprise under the name of Kellner-Partington Paper Pulp Co Limited, with a capital of £720,000.[2]
