1898 Dissolution of the Partnership between Richard Baxendale, Thomas Baxendale, and George Baxendale, carrying on business as Iron and Brass Founders at Albert-street Foundry, in Chorley, in the county of Lancaster, under the style or firm of Richard Baxendale and Sons. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid by the said Thomas Baxendale and George Baxendale who continue the business.[1].

1941 Richard Baxendale and Sons Ltd was incorporated to take over the business of iron founders carried on at Albert Street Foundry by Richard Baxendale and John Baxendale under the name of Richard Baxendale and Sons, and to carry on various other businesses[2]

1981 Richard Baxendale and Sons was 1 of 6 boiler makers investigated for collusion in raising prices[3]
1982 Maker of domestic heating appliances and lawnmowers; the dry cleaning business was sold; the ownership of the business was vested in an Employee Trust[4]
1983 Name changed to Baxi Partnership Ltd
1999 Maker of a range of heating appliances including the Bahama combination boiler, Bermuda cast iron back boiler, Barcelona condensing boiler; subsidiary companies included Spartek, Landmark, Alfer, and Alloy Technologies. Moved to new premises in Preston[5].
2000 The Partnership transferred the trading business to Baxi plc
2000 The Baxi company was acquired by Electra Partners and Candover Investments; Kidde acquired a 25 percent stake in Baxi when Kidde was spun out of Williams. Baxi's headquarters were in Derby; it was combined with Newmond which had been acquired previously by Candover and Electra[6]
2003 Baxi was put up for sale.
2009 Baxi was merged with Dutch rival De Dietrich Remeha[7]
2013 Baxi Technologies was in liquidation[8]
