1974 Subsidiaries Benjamin Priest and Sons (Holdings) had varying performance: the nuts and bolts business was performing less well, Crew and Sons, maker of stainless steel products, was improving, J. E. Woodall and Co, roofing components, had been affected by the 3-day week; Priest Jackson Pressings still had problems; the Integrated division, which included Integrated Conveyers Ltd, Integrated Handling Ltd, Hi-Space Systems Ltd, had performed well.[2]
1984 In order to rationalise auto-component supply, the company agreed with Armstrong Equipment to close its bolt making operation and transfer some operations within the group[3]
1987 Benjamin Priest sold Priest Jackson Pressings division to Associated Steels and Tools Co[4]
1987 Benjamin Priest Group acquired Lewmar Marine
