1871 Manchester and Liverpool Agricultural Show. 'The stand of Messrs. Bennett Brothers, of Victoria street Livrpool and Sir Thomas's buildings though comprising less of the purely agicultural implements than some of the stalls, is a combination of the products of rare mechanical skill and ability. It includes several sets of stalls for horses, with all the necessary fettings, the backs of the boxes being covered with enamelled tiles, and the floors with concrete blocks, so as to provide for the requisite drainage. The fittings for the harness rooms are of a rich and elaborate character; and there are, moreover, the customary stable utensils, fittings for shippons, iron piggeries, all the requisites for dairy purposes, and a host of other articles, including horticultural implements, pumps, fountains, vases, washing and mangling machines, stoves, aviaries, wirework of various descriptions, and Chatsworth's safes, armed with locks which appear capable of defying the skill of all the burglars in the world. '
