1964 Obituary[1]

"We record with regret the death of Mr Bertram J. Tams, chief of education and personnel of the Stafford Works of the English Electric Co, who died suddenly at the age of sixty on December 8th, 1964."


1965 Obituary [2]

Mr B. J. Tams, MSc (Member), who was well known for his work on the training of engineers, died on 8th December 1964, at the age of 60. He had a close association with the Institution as a member of the Education committee and the Midland Branch Committee. He had also served as Hon. Secretary for both the North Western and Southern Branches.

Although he held several important positions with engineering companies his real interests lay in education and he spent a good deal of his time lecturing. His death will be a sad loss to his many friends and colleagues.
