1971 The privately-owned Richard Biffa Group was acquired by BET[1] and became part of its Industrial Services division

1991 Biffa Waste Services was one of the larger waste disposal companies[2]

1991 Acquired by Severn Trent plc[3]

2000 Biffa was incorporated as a plc, a subsidiary of Severn Trent plc

2001 Acquired Waste Management Ltd which became Biffa Waste Management Ltd

2002 Acquired Reclamation and Disposal Ltd and White Cross Ltd from Severn Trent for cash.

2008 Biffa plc was acquired by private equity interests and was renamed Biffa Ltd.
