Bont Fawr Aqueduct

From Graces Guide

at Pontrhydyfen, Neath, Port Talbot

The Grade II* masonry Bont Fawr Aqueduct was built by John Reynolds in 1824-7 to serve the waterwheel at Oakwood Ironworks, immediately south of Pontrhydyfen. See British Listed Buildings entry.

At some point the water course was filled in, and was apparently used by a railway or tramway. The aqueduct now carries a footpath and is part of the Sustrans National Cycle Network.
