1897 Company formed to acquire the County Company's interest in Bournemouth and District Electric Supply Company Limited

1898 First Ordinary General Meeting.[1]

By the end of the 1930s the electricity supply arrangements for Bournemouth were unusual in that a company (rather than a municipal undertaking) still supplied electricity.

1948 The company was nationalized[2]
