Brampton Potteries
A number of potteries were established in the Brampton area of Chesterfield, taking advantage of the local clay and the opening of the Chesterfield Canal in 1777.

late 19th century: Opened on the site of the Inkerman Colliery

1860s: Established by James Pearson
- Welshpool and Payne Pottery
mid to late 18th century: opened by Mr Blake
