Bristol, Northern and Western Railway

1824 December 13th. Meeting with Thomas Hassell, Mayor of Bristol, in the Chair and 28 (named) others to be part of the committee. 'for the purpose of opening a rail-way communication, through the medium of this city,between the northern and the western and the eastern parts of the kingdom'. [1] [2]

1825 January 24th. Meeting held at the White Lion, Bristol with Thomas Hassell in the Chair and 36 others named. Principal object is Bristol and Birmingham railway. [3]
