1953 Eaglescliffe Chemical Co merged with John and James White Ltd; change of name to British Chrome and Chemicals Ltd[1]

1957 Acquired Brotherton and Co[2]

1958 Name changed to Associated Chemical Companies[3]


1960 British Chrome and Chemicals Ltd was incorporated

1973 Harrisons and Crosfield acquired the chrome businesses of Albright and Wilson with plants at Eaglescliffe and a small unit in Canada[4]

1975 Was a subsidiary of Harrisons and Crosfield[5]

1977 Name changed to British Chrome and Chemicals Group Ltd

1988 Name changed to Harcros Chemicals UK Ltd; British Chrome and Chemicals formed a division with the company.
