1975 British Leyland was formed from the bankrupt British Leyland Motor Corporation and consisted of four divisions:
- Cars
- Truck and Bus
- Special Products
- International
For a brief period in the mid 1970s, all of British Leyland's car marques were grouped together under the name of Leyland Cars.
Rover SD1 was launched to replace the Rover P6 and the Triumph 2000/2500
1977 Michael Edwardes became the CEO
1977 British Leyland Motor Holdings became BL[1]
