British Perlit Iron Co

1925 The British Perlit Iron Company Limited was registered as a private company on 20th July, with capital of £800, and with a registered office at 15 Victoria Street, Westminster, London.[1]

1925 They purchased the British and colonial patent rights of Heinrich Lanz of Mannheim, Germany, for the manufacture of high-quality grey cast iron, which passes under the trade name of "Perlit" iron. The directors of the company were:-

Mr H. J. Young was retained as a consulting metallurgist by the company with the permission of the North Eastern Marine Engineering Co.[2]

1929 The company's registered offices removed to 9 Rumford Street, Liverpool.[3]

1946 The company went into voluntary liquidation.[4]
