1901 John Patrick O'Donnell formed the British Pneumatic Railway Signal Co

This was the first large-scale manufacturing works for pneumatic equipment in Britain.

Installed the first automatic signals on main passenger lines, and the first power signalling on passenger lines including the Great Central Railway, London and South Western Railway, Central Argentine, and other railways. Installed at Victoria Railway Station (South Eastern and Chatham Railway) 3-position all-electric interlocking signals.
