1960 One of the smaller makers of semiconductors in the UK[1]. Gained a licence to an American invention of a spark ignition system for combustion engines using the piezo-electric effect, avoiding the use of batteries, coils or magnetos[2]

1961 Control of the company passed to the Clevite Corporation of USA, at present a minority shareholder[3]

1963 The company was one of Europe's largest makers of piezo-electric materials; the company was considering considerable expansion of its semiconductor production[4]

1964 Renamed Brush Clevite Co.
