1927 The Buell Combustion Company Limited was registered as a public company, with a nominal capital of £250,000, to acquire (1) from Buell Pulverised Coal Syndicate Ltd, and Bolton and Partners Ltd, certain inventions relating to the systems of combustion or burning of pulverised fuel known as the "Buell System", (2) from United Water Softeners Ltd and Kek Ltd, certain inventions relating to systems of grinding and crushing or disintegrating known as the "Kek Mill", and (3) from the British Columbia and West Canadian Agency Ltd, and W. A. C. Pulverisers Ltd, certain inventions relating to the systems of pulverisation and disintegrating known as the W. A. C. Pulverisers, and the goodwill and business in connection of each such system, and certain assets therewith, and to carry on the business of iron and brass founders, mechanical, electrical, and other engineers, manufacturers of domestic, trade, and agricultural machinery and implements, or any other machinery, shop fitters, oven builders, builders of bakeries, factories, and other buildings, electricians, etc.[1]

1940 The company went into voluntary liquidation.[2] The liquidation process was a protracted one and the company was not dissolved until 1960.[3]
