Founded by John A. Pitts as John A. Pitts Co.

Company names include; Pitts and Brayley (1859-1865), Brayley and Pitts (1865-1877), Pitts Agricultural Works (1877-1897) and Buffalo Pitts (1897-1935).[1]

Made steam rollers, farm implements and road-making machinery.

1859. John A. Pitts died and the company was run by his son and son-in-law.[2]

The firm had several name changes after the founders death.[3]
