Originally of Ancoats, Manchester

1927 Established by Harry Burgess.

The original Burgess Bedding factory was based near Hen Market in Shudehill, Manchester. When the Mill was sold for development they moved to the Rossendale Valley in Helmshore.

This 1962 photo[1] shows the factory in Cornell Street (originally Cornwall Street), Ancoats in 1962. E. Larmour and Co, builders and joiners, were located next door.
