1956 Parent company renamed Burnyeat Limited. Avonmouth business, which was still trading as Bell Brothers and Thompson, was renamed Burnyeat (Avonmouth) Limited.

1958 Acquired the ship store business Codds Limited of Milford Haven.

c.1959 Hull business moved to Mersey House, Williamson Street, Hull.

1959 J. F. King and Company Limited of Canning Place, Liverpool acquired with a view to re-entering the fresh stores trade.

1960 Burnyeat Wise incorporated to provide fresh stores in Avonmouth (in joint venture with T. J. Wise of Avonmouth and Bristol, shipping butchers). Burnyeat Clode (Milford Haven) Limited incorporated for the same purpose in Milford Haven (joint venture with Clode’s Limited of Swansea)

1965 United Mersey Supply Company Limited formed as a 50-50 joint venture between Burnyeat Limited and Cearns & Brown Limited, to supply the ship stores business of both companies, and their subsidiaries. Company number 844917. This company was liquidated in 1992.

1966 Burnyeat (Avonmouth) Limited and the assets of Burnyeat Wise Limited sold to Charles Hill of Bristol Limited.

1972 only Liverpool, London, Newcastle and Southampton mentioned in an advertisement.

1979 Newcastle branch closed, as a result of declining trade on the Tyne. This left only an interest in a Liverpool office and their HQ in London.

1986 Registered office changed from 3-9 Dod Street, London E14, to unit D6/D7 Fairview Trading Estate, Motherwell Way, West Thurrock, Grays, Essex, EC2 6HV. Chairman H. Braithwaite.

1988 Mr Alun Price-Davies appointed Managing Director.

1990 Burnyeat Limited accounts filed for the last time, made up to 31 Dec 1989

1991 March 28th. Receivers appointed.

2015 June 21st Final meeting of creditors held to receive liquidator’s final report.
