Born the son of Abraham Roberts, a Hotel Keeper.

1878 Married at Yetminster to Sarah Hanna

1910 Assistant Goods Manager (Working Dept.), Paddington

1911 Living at 48 Windsor Road, Slough: Charles Abraham Roberts (age 55 born Northleach), Railway Assistant Goods Manager. With his wife Sarah, two sons and one daughter.[1]

1912 Appointed chief goods manager in succession to Thomas Henry Rendell

1921 Retires from the GWR. Succeeded by Edward Lowther.[2]
