Born the son of Peter Laurence Royston, Bishop of Liverpool.

1909 Married at Shillong to Marie Cahill Sheridon. 'Christopher Clarke Royston, Personal Assistant to the Chief Engineer, Eastern Bengal and Assam, and son of Dr. Royston, late Bishop of Liverpool.'[1]
