Mr. Power was educated at Manchester Grammar School. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1935.

In 1936 he joined The United Steel Companies, Ltd., Samuel Fox Branch, Stocksbridge, in their Cost and Wages Department, and in 1938, joined The British United Shoe Machinery Co., Ltd. He was appointed to his present position of Chief Cost Accountant in 1939.

Mr. Power is a Fellow and Member of Council of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants, and also a member of that Institute's Research and Technical Committee.
