1968 A group of young technology graduates established a high technology R&D and prototyping business in Cambridge.

by 1971 they had introduced 2 amplifier designs, a tuner and a transmission line loudspeaker.

1994 Acquired by James Johnson-Flint and Julian Richer, who were committed to the idea that Cambridge Audio should continue to create ground-breaking, original & proprietary technologies.

1995 Launched the A1 integrated amplifier which became one of their best selling products

by 2021 all of the design work was done in London
