HERR DIREKTOR CARL SCHWIER died at the age of 60 after a brief illness; his death was reported on January 7, 1936.

He was for seven years director of the former Konxernhuttenwerke at Ateinfort, and on January 1, 1920, became technical director of the Millheim Iron and Steel Works of the Felten B Guilleaume Carlswerk Eisen and Stahl Aktiengesellschaft.

Endowed with unusual skill and knowledge, Herr Direktor Schwier increased and developed this concern with untiring energy, and set an example of devotion to duty to his colleagues.

Herr Schwier was elected a member of the Institute of Metals on February 21, 1929.
