Carnarvon Town Line

in Caernarfon
By 1869 Caernarfon town had three separate terminal stations, all served by trains operated by the L&NWR. They were named Carnarvon,, Carnarvon Pant, and Carnarvon Morfa. The Town Line was constructed to connect all three stations, opening to goods trains in 1870, and to passengers in 1871.
The line included a tunnel under the town centre, which is now used by road traffic. The Welsh Highland Railway now runs on part of the line.
