1901 Four-story works destroyed by fire.[1]
1906 The company was registered on 11 October, as Carsons (1906), to acquire the business of a company of almost similar title, cocoa, chocolate and confectionery manufacturers.
1907 The name was slightly altered to the present title. [2]
1914 Expanded with another factory at Shortlands, Bristol
1920 Share issue. Directors - Horace Walker (Chairman); Robert Pollock (M.D.); Robert Bruce hay; and William Henry Cole.[3]
1964 Mr James Goldsmith, a Paris business man, bought a stake of around 40 per cent in Carsons, through Lanord a private company headed by Mr Goldsmith and who have sizeable food and industrial interests in France[4]. Then Carsons acquired 35 percent of Procea[5]
By September 1964 Carsons were 55 percent owned by Cavenham Foods[6]
1965 Cavenham Foods acquired the remaining shares that it did not already own[7]
