1897 Company formed by St. James's and Pall Mall Electric Light Co and Westminster Electric Supply Co[1]

c.1903 Permission gained to build a power station at Grove Road, Marylebone to supply the 2 founding companies[2]

1909 One of 5 companies in London that the London County Council proposed to acquire[3]

1911 Supplied current from Grove Road to the St. James's and Pall Mall Electric Light Co to replace that from one of their 2 small stations.

1912 In view of the good results with the first scheme supplying the St James company, a similar change would also be made at their Carnaby St plant. The Central Electric Supply Co would instal an extra 3000kW generator at Grove Road in order to supply this company[4]

1912 The capacity of the Grove Road plant was being enlarged from 20.2 MW to 40 MW.

1912 A correspondent to The Times identified the company's station as one of 6 which should be considered for bulk supply in an integrated London network; it generated 3 phase 50 Hz 6kV, with DC at 200V-400 V[5].

1920 One of 9 London electricity supply companies which formed the London Electricity Joint Committee (1920) in opposition to the schemes proposed by the Electricity Commissioners for London

1923 Had taken over almost the whole of the role of supplying the Chelsea company[6]

1924 The St John's Wood Generating Station Grove Road was acquired by the London Electricity Joint Committee [7].
