Charles D. Phillips of Emlyn Engineering Works, Newport
1867 Established by Charles David Phillips
1903 Issued a new catalogue under the title " Electrical and Autocar Supplement" with a list of new and second-hand electrical machinery, motor cars, motor bicycles and illustrated throughout.[1]
1920s John C. Phillips, the fourth son of Charles David Phillips was director and departmental manger up to his death in December 1926.[2]
Overhauled and rebuilt locomotives, but no evidence of new locomotives being built. [3]
At some time the company was known as Watkins and Phillips.
