CHARLES DONALD NAPIER PARKER, horn on the 16th October, 1850, died at Tunbridge Wells on the 20th June, 1913.
He served a pupilage with Messrs. Maudslay, Sons and Field, and was afterwards engaged on the Derby waterworks contract at Little Eaton, on maintenance works at Leith Docks, and as assistant to the Borough Engineer of Salford.
After being employed on dock work at Boston and Hull, he was engaged on the Manchester Ship Canal, at first for the contractor and later on the Engineer's staff.
From 1895 until his retirement, a few years before his death, he was employed as Engineer under the Leith Docks and Harbour Board.
Mr. Parker was elected an Associate Member of The Institution on the 5th February, 1884, and was transferred to the class of Members on the 29th May, 1896.
