1799 April 16th. Born at Lexden, Colchester the son of William Harrod and his wife Tamar Mason

At a young age, Harrod worked as a miller in Clacton

1830 Married to Elizabeth Digby

1834 Relocated to London where he began selling groceries in Stepney.

1841 Birth of son Charles Digby Harrod

1851 Residing at 12 Sebright Place, Bethnal Green: Charles Harrod (age 51 born Essex), Provision Dealer. with his wife Elizabeth and sons William Harrod (age 8 born Whitechapel), Henry Harrod (age 5 born Whitechapel) and Joseph Harrod (age 3 born Whitechapel).[1]

1861 Residing at 9 Middle Queens Place, Kensington: Charles Henry Harrod (age 61 born Leydon), Tea dealer and Grocer (and Widower). With his sons Charles Digby Harrod (age 20 born London), Commercial Clerk; and Henry Digby Harrod (age 15 born London).[2]

1885 March 31st. Died.
