CHARLES N. SIMS died in South Africa in July, 1906.

He was educated at the Technical School, Cheltenham, and went through a course of training with the Lithanode and General Electric Company.

Subsequently he was engaged as draughtsman by the Electricity Corporation of Cape Town, and in 1897 became Assistant Engineer in charge of the Testing Department of the Works.

He was elected an Associate Member of the Institution in 1904.
