Eldest son of Richard Janion Nevill

1841 Became a partner in Sims, Willyams, Nevill, Druce and Co, copper smelter and coal miners.

1841 Married Jane Davies (1820–1894), of Swansea; of their 10 children, one son, Hugh Nevill, survived to adulthood.

1856 On the death of his father, Charles William Nevill became managing director of the company.

Charles William Nevill became MP for Carmarthenshire and High Sheriff of the county.

1873 The business was renamed Nevill, Druce and Company; partners included members of the Druce and Devas families.

1888 Charles Nevill died
