1878 Charles Wilson of 132 Woodhouse Lane, Leeds gained a medal in the section for Cooking Apparatus for a family of 4-8 persons at the Exhibition of Gas Apparatus in Birmingham, and another in the Complete family kitchener class, adapted to the requirements of a family of from ten to fifteen persons, the apparatus doing cooking and hot water supply for the kitchen.

1889 Wilsons and Mathiesons was registered on 8 June, to take over the business of gas stove manufacturers of Charles Wilson and Sons and the business of ironfounders of Mathieson, Wilson and Co. [1]

1894 Antwerp Exhibition. Awarded Diploma of Honour for Heating and Ventilation.[2]
