Chatwood and Dawes

1861 Partnership dissolved. '... the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned, Samuel Chatwood and William Dawes, as Manufacturers of Iron Safes, Locks, and Sewing Machines, at Bolton, in the county of Lancaster, under the firm of Chatwood and Dawes, was this day dissolved by mutual consent. All debts due or owing to or from the said late firm will be received .and paid by the said Samuel Chatwood, who will in future carry on the business of the late firm on his own account....'[1]

Presumably then became Chatwood and Parkin for a short time

1864 Chatwoods Patent Safe and Lock Co was incorporated
