1878 Patent. '3743. To Giuseppe Chiappa and Gustavus Fersani, of No. 6, Little Bath-street, in the parish of Saint James, Clerkenwell, in the county of Middlesex, Musical Instrument Manfrs., for the invention of " improvements in musical instruments."'[1]

1880 Partnership dissolved. '...the Partnership lately subsisting between us the undersigned, Giuseppe Chiappa and Gustavus Fersani, as Piano Organ, Barrel Organ, and Barrel Harmonium Makers, at 6, Little Bathstreet, Eyre-street-hill, Clerkenwell, in the county of Middlesex, under the firm or style of Chiappa and Fersani, is this day dissolved by mutual consent; and that all debts due and owing to or by the late firm will be received and paid by the said Giuseppe Chiappa...'[2]
