CHRISTOPHER GREENWOOD SAMUELS, B.A.I. (Dublin), born 27th June, 1880, died 21st June, 1916, at Khargpur, India.

After taking his degree at Dublin University in 1903, he was trained under Mr. W. Purcell O'Neill, M.Inst.C.E., Chief Engineer, Midland and Great Western Railway, Ireland.

In 1905 he became Assistant-Engineer on the Bengal-Nagpur Railway, which position he held at the time of his death, being then in charge of the Kalimati subdivision, Khargpur district.

Mr. Samuels was elected an Associate Member on the 5th February, 1907.
