1831 Born in Exeter the son of Christopher Mardon Taylor, senior, an Ag. Labourer, and his wife Elizabeth Jane Taylor (nee Higston)

1851 Mentions that he is the son-in-law / step-son of William Canute Bodley.[1][2]

1852 Married Caroline Hill

1866 C. M. Taylor takes Alfred Bodley in to partnership at Northams Foundry.[3]

1887 Death of his wife Caroline at Friar's Lodge, age 65.[4]

1890 Marriage of Eva, his younger daughter to William Warwick Buckland of Thornton Heath.[5]
