CHRISTOPHER WILLIAM FINCKEN died in April 1895, at the age of 46, at his residence, Hoyland Hall, near Barnsley. He held the position of commercial massager of the Hoyland Silkstone Collieries.

He was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1890.
