1892 'Mrs. Ganniclift and Miss Russell of the City Hotel.[4]

1901 Living at the City Hotel, 44-45 Queen Street, Exeter: Joseph H. Ball (age 28 born Staffs), Hotel Manager. With his wife Edith and a daughter.[5]

1909 Death. George Haynes, age 58, late proprietor of the City Hotel, Exeter.[6]
