1918 The Coaster Construction Company Limited was incorporated as a private company, with capital of £100,000, to carry on the business of shipbuilders, marine, mechanical and electrical engineers.[1]

1920 New yard opened at Rossie Island[2]

1920 The first 2 keels were laid

1928 A new company, the Coaster Construction Company (1928) Limited, was incorporated as a private company, with capital of £500, to acquire the shipyard at Rossie Island, Montrose, belonging to the Coaster Construction Company (in liquidation) and to carry on the business of shipbuilders and engineers.[3]
