1897 The Coil Clutch and Pulley Company of Slough made friction clutch to W. Lindsay's patent for Stotherd and Pitt's Titan crane[1]

1907 The Coil Clutch Company Limited, Phoenix Works, Johnstone, was incorporated as a private company, with capital of £20,000, to manufacture coil friction clutches and carry on the business of engineers.[2]

1965 The company went into voluntary liquidation.[3]
