Connah's Quay Chemical Co

From Graces Guide

1864 The works opened at Northop, the third alkali works on Deeside, based on a previous business owned by the Manchester drysalters W. B. and J. M. Dentith.

The company would make potassium bichromate and other mineral products (for which alkalis and acid were both necessary), exploiting patents taken out by Frederick O. Ward of London.

By 1874 the company had been acquired by Henry Rayner of Chester, a previous manager.

1878 The company went into liquidation.
