1888 Cox and Painter Limited was registered, with capital of £50,000, to purchase as a going concern the business of silk mercers, haberdashers, hosiers, lacemen, furriers, dressmakers, costume and mantle makers, upholsterers, undertakers and house furnishers, ironmongers, and glass and china dealers carried on at Warwick House and Kenilworth House, Great Malvern.[1]
