1938 The local council purchased Crawford Lodge to obtain the land attached and then offered the building to the breweries to open as a hotel.

1939 January. Excise Licence applied for by Walter John Pring of Norman and Pring. New business to be known as the Crawford Hotel.[1][2]

1950 Proprietor was Harold Hodkinson, Crawford Hotel, 107 Alphington Road.[3]

1955 Listed. William B. Crinks.[4]

1964 Listed. J. Hambrook.[5]
