1946 Cumming and Spence Limited was incorporated, with capital of £16,000, to acquire the business of baker and general merchant carried on at 17 Albert Street, Kirkwall, by Robert S. Spence under the firm name of Cumming & Spence and the business of baker carried on at 46 and 50 Victoria Street, Stromness, by George Argo.[1]

1979 The company was dissolved.[2]
