1859 Partnership dissolved. '... the Partnership formerly subsisting between John Priston Cutts, late of Sheffield, in the county of York, Optician. James Chesterman, of the same place, Patent Spring Tape Measure Manufacturer, and James Bedington, of Birmingham, in the county of Warwick, Tape Measure Manufacturer, as Manufacturers and Venders of Patent Spring and other Tape Measures and other articles, under the style or firm of Cutts, Chesterman, and Bedington, was dissolved by the death of the said John Priston Cutts, on the 8th day of September, 1858. The said James Chesterman will receive and pay all debts...'[1]
